Tech Support and Helpline
Materials might go missing when a model is created with a third-party renderer like Vray and then exported in an exchange format. If the texture files are specified but still missing, please reach out to our customer support for assistance. To address missing textures, you can manually update the texture paths or organize files into a flat structure, ensuring the model file is in the same folder as the texture files. For formats like Blender, SketchUp, UnityPackage, Unreal Project, KeyShot, Marmoset, FBX (with embed media), textures may be within these files.
Objects-
- Objects may be hidden or isolated
- Objects may be too small/too big - set viewport/camera accordingly
- Normals may be reversed (reversed normals/mesh usually appear black, and are invisible in render)
- Proxy objects (visible in render but not in viewport)
- Objects that are dependent on plugins

Model Upload Process
Creating an efficient and usable 3D model file with all UV unwrapped, textures, good quality renders as display pictures, details of polygons and vertices, while avoiding n-gons, maintaining proper model geometry, eliminating texture stretching, and ensuring no overlapping UVs involves several steps. Below is a detailed guide on how to achieve this:
Modeling:- Start modeling your object, focusing on creating clean geometry with efficient edge flow.
- Avoid using n-gons (polygons with more than four vertices) as they can cause issues during rendering and UV mapping.
- Use quads (four-sided polygons) and triangles where necessary to maintain clean topology.
- Pay attention to edge loops, especially around areas that require deformation or smoothing.
- Keep the polygon count as low as possible while maintaining necessary detail to optimize performance.
- Use subdivision surface modifiers or techniques like edge creasing to add smoothness without increasing the polygon count excessively.
- Once your model is complete, UV unwrap it to prepare for texturing.
- Use seams strategically to ensure efficient UV layouts.
- Minimize stretching by distributing UV islands evenly and avoiding distortion.
- Aim for a square aspect ratio for UV islands to prevent texture stretching.
- Avoid overlapping UVs, as this can cause textures to appear incorrectly or create artifacts during rendering.
- Create or acquire high-quality textures for your model.
- Apply textures to the appropriate UV islands, ensuring they align correctly and seamlessly.
- Utilize texture painting tools within your modeling software to add details like weathering, scratches, and dirt.
- Use texture maps such as diffuse, specular, normal, and roughness to enhance the visual quality of your model.
- Set up your scene with appropriate lighting and camera angles.
- Choose a rendering engine (e.g., Cycles in Blender, Arnold in Maya) and configure render settings for optimal results.
- Experiment with different materials and shaders to achieve desired surface appearances.
- Render high-quality images or animations of your model from various angles to showcase its details and features.
- Provide details of the polygon and vertex counts of your model for reference.
- Include screenshots or wireframe renders displaying the model's topology and UV layout.
- Document the texturing process and the sources of your textures for future reference.
- Test your model in different environments or scenarios to ensure it performs well under various conditions.
- Optimize the model, textures, and rendering settings as needed to improve performance without sacrificing quality.
- Once your model is complete, export it to widely supported 3D file formats such as .obj, .fbx, .dae (Collada), or .stl (for 3D printing).
- Check for any compatibility issues during the export process and adjust settings accordingly.
- Ensure that all textures and UV coordinates are properly exported along with the model.
- Include additional files such as material libraries or texture maps if necessary to maintain consistency across different software environments.
Selling Your Models
Ranking high in search results on a marketplace website requires a combination of factors, including strategic use of tags, high-quality renders or imagery for display, a compelling title and description, and other necessary details. Here's how each of these elements can contribute to improving the visibility and ranking of your model:
Tags:- Utilize relevant and descriptive tags that accurately represent your model's attributes, features, and use cases.
- Include common keywords related to the type of model, its category, style, theme, and any specific details or functionalities it offers.
- Research popular tags used by similar listings and incorporate them into your own tags to increase visibility.
- Avoid overloading tags with irrelevant or misleading keywords, as this can negatively impact your ranking and credibility.
- Capture high-resolution renders or images of your model from multiple angles to showcase its details and features effectively.
- Use proper lighting, composition, and presentation techniques to highlight the strengths of your model and make it visually appealing.
- Ensure that the renders accurately represent the actual appearance and quality of the model to set realistic expectations for potential buyers.
- Include close-up shots or zoomed-in views to emphasize specific areas of interest or intricate details.
- Provide variations of renders or images showcasing different color schemes, textures, wire-frames or configurations if applicable to demonstrate versatility.
- Craft a concise and descriptive title that clearly conveys what the model is and its main selling points in not more than 200 words.
- Include relevant keywords in the title that potential buyers are likely to search for when looking for similar models.
- Write a detailed description that provides additional information about the model, such as its specifications, dimensions, materials, and intended use.
- Highlight any unique features, customization options, or benefits of choosing your model over others in the same category.
- Use persuasive language to engage potential buyers and encourage them to learn more or make a purchase.
- Format the description for readability, using bullet points or paragraphs to break up text and make it easier to skim.
You can determine the price of your 3D model through these parameters:
Detailing: The intricacy and level of detail in the model significantly affect its value. More detailed models typically command higher prices due to the skill and time required to create them.
Usability: Consider how versatile the model is. Can it be easily integrated into different projects and software? Models designed for specific purposes or with multiple potential uses may have a higher value.
Rigging:If the model includes rigging for animation or interactivity, this adds significant value. Rigging requires specialized skills and can greatly enhance the model's usability.
File Formats and Compatibility:Offering the model in various file formats suitable for different software increases its value. Compatibility with popular platforms and software can make the model more appealing to a wider audience.
Market Demand:Assess the demand for similar models in the market. Models in high demand or niche categories may command higher prices.
Quality of Textures and Materials: Texturing and material work contribute to the realism and visual appeal of the model. High-quality textures and materials may justify a higher price.
Reputation and Experience of the Artist:Established artists or studios with a proven track record may charge higher prices based on their reputation and expertise.
Customization Options:Offering customization options or providing additional services such as customer support or revisions can increase the value of the model.
Licensing Terms:Consider whether the model will be sold with exclusive or non-exclusive rights, and for what purposes (commercial, personal, etc.). Different licensing terms can affect pricing.
Ultimately, pricing a 3D model is subjective and depends on a combination of these factors as well as market dynamics and individual negotiation. It's essential to research comparable models in the market and consider the value you're providing to potential buyers when setting a price.
Promoting 3D Models
Promoting a 3D model published on Z-Axiverse, or any similar platform, involves strategic marketing efforts to increase visibility and attract potential buyers. Here are several effective strategies an artist can utilize:
Social Media Promotion: Share images, videos, or links to the model across popular social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Use relevant hashtags and engaging captions to capture the attention of your target audience.
LinkedIn: Utilize LinkedIn to showcase the 3D model to professional connections, potential clients, and industry peers. Share updates about the model's features, its applications, and any success stories related to its usage.
Portfolio Sites: Create a portfolio on specialized platforms for 3D model and animation showcase, such as ArtStation, Behance, or Sketchfab. These platforms allow artists to display their work in high-quality formats and attract a community of fellow artists, enthusiasts, and potential buyers.
Discounts and Promotions: Offer limited-time discounts or promotions to incentivize potential buyers to purchase the 3D model.
Payment Process
In a 3D model marketplace, a royalty percentage of 65-70% means that the artist receives 65-70% of the total sale price for their work, while the marketplace retains the remaining percentage as a commission fee.
For example, if a 3D model sells for $50:
At a 65% royalty rate, the artist would receive $32.50 (65% of $50), and the marketplace would keep $17.50.
At a 70% royalty rate, the artist would receive $35 (70% of $50), and the marketplace would keep $15.
This arrangement incentivizes artists by providing them with a significant portion of the sales revenue while also allowing the marketplace to sustain its operations through commission fees.
After purchase, royalties will be processed within 10-15 days. Please note, a 1% transaction fee applies for payments made through the gateway.
After submitting the form, confirmation of the bank account will be provided within 15-20 days.
There could be several reasons why the money has not been credited to the your account within the expected time frame. Here are some potential explanations:
Processing Time:The payment processing may take longer than anticipated due to the internal procedures of the payment gateway or financial institution involved. Sometimes, there might be delays in verifying transactions or releasing funds, especially if there are high transaction volumes or technical issues.
Verification Process: There could be delays associated with verifying the transaction details, such as confirming the legitimacy of the payment, checking for any fraudulent activities, or verifying the identity of the payer or payee. These verification processes are crucial for ensuring the security and integrity of financial transactions.
Administrative Hold: Occasionally, payments might be placed on hold by the payment gateway or financial institution for administrative reasons. This could happen if there are discrepancies in the transaction information, missing documentation, or if additional information is required from either the payer or the payee.
Banking Holidays or Weekends:If the 10-15 day period includes weekends or banking holidays, it can extend the processing time. Banks and financial institutions typically do not process transactions on weekends or holidays, so any transactions initiated during these times may experience delays.
Technical Issues: Unforeseen technical glitches or system failures within the payment processing infrastructure could also cause delays in crediting the funds to the intended account. These issues might require troubleshooting and resolution by the payment service provider or financial institution.
Communication Delays: Sometimes, delays in communication between different parties involved in the payment process, such as the payer, payment gateway, bank, and recipient, can contribute to delays in fund transfer. Clear and timely communication is essential for resolving any issues and expediting the payment process.
Transaction Rejections:In some cases, transactions may be rejected or flagged for review due to various reasons, such as insufficient funds, incorrect account details, or suspicion of fraudulent activity. Resolving these issues may require additional time and coordination between the parties involved.
